Flora Chen recently joined the Weightrax team as a project engineering coordinator, bringing with her valuable engineering project management experience gained in New Zealand and overseas.
Flora has hit the ground running, executing several key projects simultaneously. Projects of note include one to supply a Wi-Fi mesh system and a loader based Weightrax automation system for a quarry near Wellington; and completing the installation of several weighbridges with the Atrax and Weightrax teams in Hastings and Gisborne.
Flora has a solid background in engineering project management, and a passion for contributing to successful projects. She previously worked in the construction industry for five years as a project coordinator in New Zealand, where she honed a range of skills – from attending pre-start site meetings to negotiating variations in contracts to delivering successful projects.
Before arriving in New Zealand, Flora was a design engineer (specialising in thermal control) for nine years in China, where she spearheaded the design and coordination of thermal control systems for power plants.
